Sometimes, research on certain topics can hit a dead end. The Sentinel may not have reported on an event, deeming it unimportant at the time, or it can be lost in the mire of seemingly endless rolls of microfilm. Digitised newspapers may be illegible and unsearchable, or archives may have simply not survived. Perhaps even, documents may be sitting in someones attic, waiting to be rediscovered.
In writing ‘Old Theatres in the Potteries’, there were certain unresolved questions that no amount of research and hunting has managed to resolve. Can you help? If you can, please email me.
